A four-year commitment and graduation requirement, this is a core aspect of the school’s Jewish Studies curriculum. In 9th-11th grades, students are assigned traditional Jewish texts to study, research, and analyze before developing their portfolios and preparing to give their final Drishat Shalom (“words of peace”) presentations in 12th grade. These deeply personal, introspective presentations weave together insights based on assigned texts combined with firsthand life experiences and challenges the students share with the dTHS community.
