Courses include Engineering I, Engineering II (Honors), Engineering III (Honors), and Physics. There is a formal application process.

Academy members can also join the dTHS Robotics Team after school to develop skills in programming, mechanical design, and electronics. Team members take part in the acclaimed FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) where they build a robot with advanced function, movement, and processing skills.
