The 7th Annual de Toledo High School Mental Health Fair is officially underway and the sense of community and belonging is amazing!!!
A key pillar of our school’s approach is the prioritization of student mental health and emotional wellbeing. Our teachers, deans, counselors, advisors, and rabbis actively engage with students to provide them the safe spaces they need to talk openly and learn techniques to overcome stress, confront uncertainty, and navigate high school life with confidence and joy.
This year’s Mental Health Fair showcases the resources the school makes available to support student happiness, in addition to featuring more than a dozen student-led information booths and representatives of the Didi Hirsch Suicide Prevention Center, the lukelove Foundation (focusing on fentanyl awareness), Jewish Big Brothers and Big Sisters (providing the Teen Talk app, a resource for students to talk to trained peers about their life experiences), and JQ International (supporting LGBTQ+ Jews). Overall, today’s Fair is a reminder that “community” and “connection” are not mere buzzwords but integral components of the dTHS educational journey. Our mantra is clear: at this school, no student is alone!!!
